Men's swimwear is a piece of clothing wore by men before participating in water sports like swimming, water polo, diving, surfing, skiing and many other. Men also wear swimwear suits for activities such as sun bathing.

In countries like New Zealand and Australia, men wear the swimwear suits for sports such as scuba diving, water skiing, surfing and wakeboarding. Also known as togs or bather, men's swimwear styling include board shorts, jammers, swim trunks, briefs, thongs and g-strings. A swimwear for men can be both-skin tight or loose fitted depending upon the swimmer's need. A common swimwear for men usually leaves the head, shoulders, arms and the lower part of the body below the knee. Special swimwear for men are also designed for competitive swimming that reduces friction, skin drag and thus, providing more resistance and giving them the speed advantage in the competition. However, some special swimwear also provides thermal protection to the swimmer. Special swimwear for professional swimmers are also designed, known as drag suits, wore mostly during their practice sessions. These drag suits are made up of looser fabric such as nylon or mesh and provides more resistance against the water flow and there by increases the swimmer's endurance. According to the weather conditions men may choose the swimwear to cover their body in different styles. They come in numerous designs and styles, but most of them resemble a swim brief or a square-cut with loose fitting.

The full body men's swimwear trend that started way back in 1900s is now drastically advanced to men's bikini bottom swimwear. Earlier, men's swimwear used to be rather bulky and heavy when wet. Now a days, the synthetic materials used in a swimwear provides a lighter experience with faster drying swimwear. The comfort and easiness are the main features of a men's swimwear today.
